COLECTIONS

This section is all about the basics, those pieces that will help you bring your outfits together from start to finish. While trends come and go, there are some items called wardrobe essentials that will last a lifetime.

This capsule collection explores the feminine side of western architecture. Shades of black, white and blues mixed with layers of fabric and geometrical cuts on the clothing resemble the urban yet feminine feel of the contemporary woman.

Our
History

HILO
CR

The fashion industry is today the second most polluting in the world. 93,000 million cubic meters of water are used every year, a volume sufficient to meet the needs of five million people; half a million tons of microfiber are thrown into the sea, equivalent to 3 million barrels of oil; and there are more carbon emissions than all the aircraft flights and international sea shipping’s together. That is why in CR we work for a more sustainable fashion industry, which values people, the environment, creativity and profits everyone equally.

HISTORIA-HILO CR

SER
INTERNO

In Colombia there are approximately 117,018 inmates in the 138 prisons of the country. The reality that inhabits prisons is cruel due to overcrowding and poor resocialization programs. Prisons are called by inmates the “University of Evil” where the chances of living with dignity are void. Through our collaborations with the inmates we offer the possibility of generating an economic income for themselves and their families, and a space in which the mind flies and takes them out of those 4 walls by being concentrated in a specific work.

HISTORIA-SER INTERNO

SER
INDÍGENA

In recent years, the indigenous ancestral craft has started to get lost in the country of Colombia due to industrialization. Many artisanal techniques such as the mola, which originally are made by hand, are starting to be made by machine. In CR we joint forces with different indigenous communities to exalt their cultural knowledge and reveal the magnificent work of coworking, while promoting the use of ethnic crafts in contemporary fashion garments.

HISTORIA- SER INDIGENA

SER
ARTESANO

A third of the women who are mothers in Colombia are single and head of their families. Only 8.4% of these women in the country have a professional level of education, and this leaves them finding only poorly paid jobs with long working hours, which makes it impossible for them to raise their children. Through our program of “Artisans for Fashion” we offer them the possibility of performing a decent job, which allows them to work from their homes while taking care of the house and their children.

COLECCIÓN
OPPOSITES

For this collection Carolina Ronderos dives into the universe of nature, but not the green and colorful one as the word suggests, but a more melancholic version of it, Dead Nature.

The Collection develops through a path of Opposites, always looking to create contrast, structured vs airy, heavy vs light, layered vs plain. The only color used was black, allowing all the attention to go to the details, cuts and manipulation of the fabrics, as each of these relates closely to the source of inspiration.

Jackets and trousers in crepe take the lead with sinuous lines and generous folds and shapes in organza, chiffon and satin silk. These are then triggered up a gear with a more complex coat-dress in crepe with layered pleats in satin silk and a chiffon skirt.

Opposites collection was staged in a timeless space were the colors black and white play an essential roll in the game of contrast.

COLECCIÓN
STORM

For this collection Carolina Ronderos was inspired by a new god from the Olympus, Zeus the king of gods and the god of the sky and thunder.

The collection celebrates the storm and captures the visual magic this creates between chaos and perfection. Nodding to the colour shades, structures and strength for which the environmental event is renowned. Sharp silhouettes, cinched bodices, voluminous shapes and the implementation of black and white evoke the drama generated by a storm.

The palette starts with black, dark blue and extends to lighter shades in blues, shimmering silvers and whites in light georgettes, silks, chiffons and organza. The renewed implementation of a traditional fabric like Denim gives a sense of rebirth and sophistication to the collection.

This Carolina Ronderos collection is the epitome of women empowerment, elegance and allure.

COLECCIÓN
WAVES

For this collection Carolina Ronderos flies to the universe of wind, evoking the ripples and shapes that wind bursts create in the sky. The gods of Borea and Cefiro reincarnate in the bodies of women.

The collection celebrates art and its importance in cultures histories. The color palette was extracted from the sun’s gold overtones on the alabaster sky and its contrast with the darkness of the night: pearl white, intense gold and black. The outfits have been created monotone to allow all the attention to go to the details, textures and color accents.

Finesse, femininity and sensuality are the characteristics of each of the looks in the collection. Layers of fabric and interlaced satin threads are the principal focus of each piece.

Sophisticated and timeless Carolina Ronderos collection highlights exquisite craftsmanship and elegance.

ROOTS

This collection seeks to return to the brands roots by presenting pieces that fuse a modern aesthetic of cuts and textures with ancient artisanal techniques from Colombia. The mola is the protagonist in the garments, through its vibrant colors makes each piece unique and special. Along with other techniques such as the macramé that make this collection one that represents our beginnings, an ancestral and artisanal legacy.

COLECCIÓN
HERITAGE

For this collection we used a color palette composed by a range of whites, blacks, grays, ivories and blues characteristic of the brand, and generated color accents through the handmade stitches done with silk cord and crafts such as the mola and macrame. The shapes are fluid with slightly more rigid structures generated by manipulating the fabrics and changing their appearance through textures. The shape of the garments seeks to highlight the female figure and empower women. With this collection we wanted to propose a more urban alternative for the contemporary women.
